Judo mats are the padded surfaces used for practicing and competing in judo. They’re designed to keep you safe by cushioning falls and reducing the risk of injury during throws and groundwork.

- Vinyl-covered mats: These have a foam core with a tough vinyl surface. They’re often used in competitions because they’re durable and easy to clean.
Judo mats are usually around 4-5 cm thick to absorb impact properly. The standard size for competitions is 1m x 2m or 1m x 1m, and the textured surface helps prevent slipping.
